Worship and Giving

I simply love to worship, sing, praise, dance on Sunday mornings with our church family!

Our Heavenly Father loves it too. It fills the room with joy, and people go away blessed from the environment

We all have different reasons why we like to worship Jesus, and different ways of doing it. Mine is rooted in a verse in the Bible

Romans 12:1 – for all He has done for us…

Experiencing God’s mercy, favor, blessings, in my life makes my hands raise high in humble surrender and my knees tremble into making my legs move into a constant Salsa beat!

I can’t get enough of it!

Which leads me to another expression of worship – Giving. Can giving be a form of worship? When I asked Holy Spirit to show me where to get an answer to this idea, I was lead to look at some drawings/pictures my kids have done for my wife and me.

I love it when my kids draw us pictures! They might not be Picasso, but they give us joy that’s worth more than any of his paintings.

There’s nothing you can give God that he needs.

But when you give Him an offering, you’re saying, “God, I love you. I’m thinking of you. I want you first in my life.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 (TPT) says, “Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring him with your very best, with every increase that comes to you. Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings from an uncontainable source of inner joy!”

God doesn’t need our money. But it sure does bring Him joy. That we’re thinking of Him, preparing something for Him, giving our best to Him.

We give because He gave first and continues to give abundantly. So when I give to His church, ministry, missions, a person in need, or whatever He puts on my heart to do with giving, I feel like I am worshipping Him in the process.

How about you? Why do you like to give? I hope it brings you joy and eternal value to your life. Because you are worth giving to and so are those around you!
