Triple Vision
Experiencing the Trinity’s purpose for your life, by Manuel James Delgado.
A Father’s Heart
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1)
God the Father goes by many names in the Bible, but one of my favorites is "Father of Lights," emphasizing His role as Creator of all things (James 1:17).
It amazes me to think that He conceived us in His mind before anything else existed. Revelation 4:11 reminds us, "You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."
Another powerful truth is found in
Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Just imagine—the Creator of the universe not only thought of us but calls us His masterpiece, crafted to create alongside Him.
A vision without the Father’s heartbeat is like a body without a pulse—it’s lifeless. Our hearts must beat in rhythm with His, filled with His passion for people, places, and things.
His love ignites and sustains our vision, ensuring it reflects His divine purpose.
The character of God’s fatherhood has the power to redefine how we view earthly fatherhood. While human fathers are imperfect, the Heavenly Father is the epitome of love, provision, and faithfulness.
His unwavering presence and unconditional love offer a model for earthly fathers to strive toward. Whether or not our earthly fathers were present or effective, God fills every void with His nurturing and restorative care.
A Father’s Heart · continued
Earthly fatherhood can be transformed when we emulate the Father’s heart. He listens attentively, disciplines lovingly, and provides abundantly.
Reflecting His character means building relationships rooted in grace, forgiveness, and truth. Imagine a world where fathers reflect the Father of Lights, and children grow up knowing they are cherished and secure.
This could radically change families, communities, and generations.
Reflection
How does understanding God as "Father of Lights" change your perspective on your identity and purpose?
How can adopting God’s fatherly qualities influence your relationships with others, particularly children or those you mentor?
What specific areas in your life need to align more closely with the Father’s heart?
Tools for Action
Deepen Your Connection with God: Spend time in prayer and meditation on scriptures like 1 John 3:1 and James 1:17. Seek alignment with God’s heart through daily gratitude and intentional reflection on His love.
Reflect God’s Heart in Relationships: Demonstrate the Father’s love through active listening, speaking words of affirmation, and serving others with humility.
Tools for Action
Create a vision board or actionable goals that remind you to embody His qualities in your interactions.

Mentor and Empower Others: Commit to guiding someone in faith or life, modeling God’s love and provision. Equip others by sharing what you’ve learned and encouraging them to explore their own identity in Christ.
By anchoring ourselves in the example of God’s fatherhood, we not only transform our own lives but also influence others to experience the restorative power of His love.
Concluding Thought:
The Father’s love is the foundation of our identity
and purpose, calling us into a life of alignment with
His heart. But how do we reflect that heart in action? By learning to align our desires with His and letting His heartbeat shape our every move, as we will explore in the next chapter.
